$4000 price is expect to achieve in this year but I don't think that it will achieve the price of $10000 in this year or next few years as its too high price to expect from bitcoins in quick time and may be in next 10 years we will see that price and not before that for sure.

For me I think 10,000 dollars will happen in the year of 2019 or maybe in the year of  2020. But if many people buy bitcoin for sure it will happen in the next year but we need a lot of of big investors and more supporter to invest to the bitcoin. Still no clarity on the situation in India. It is not clear whether the government is going to legalize it or not. Already, many of the officials have said that Bitcoin is having a negative influence in the form of tax evasion and use in ransom demands. They may or may not legalize BTC. But even if they legalize BTC, the tax is going to be very heavy.

Good luck to the Indian government when trying to enforce that, laws can say whatever they want but that does not mean the laws can be enforced, look at the war on drugs, look at all the money spent, the resources, all the people in jail and drug usage instead of being down is up.

It is next to impossible to enforce a ban on the ownership of Bitcoins, due to the anonymity of the transactions. But that said, if the government authorities start harassing users who sell their fiat for BTC (or vice versa), then it can create a lot of headache to the Indian crypto-users.

More countries legalizing bitcoins would surely boost the bitcoin price but $10,000 is very high and i think its very hard to reach that price soon.It may take two more years to reach that price.It seems that op is too much optimistic.

That is correct, but those with big holdings of bitcoin can just move to another country and make their trades there, since the laws of the Indian government don’t apply internationally, this is not possible for small holders but it will be possible for those with the economic power to do so.

You do not say the exact timeline for Bitcoin to reach $ 10,000. It could be 50 years or 100 years. I do not think Bitcoin will grow so fast, if it grows too fast, it will not be sustainable so I think until you die you will never see Bitcoin's price reach $ 10,000.

If everything goes well and there is not a split of the network and we get segwit activated, I do not see a reason for bitcoin to not reach a price that is even above that, I will probably predict a price close to 5000 dollar for each bitcoin, as long a everything goes right.

I'm just tired of hearing about the split and August 1. It would sooner have happened and stopped worrying many people. I believe that the price of bitcoin will soon increase. As soon as August 1 passes and people return to the bitcoin community again, the price will go up. And maybe will reach 5000 before the end of the year

Mayor's momentum? What does the mayor have to do with this? 
A successful resolution of the scaling problem will provide a boost to Bitcoin, but I am not sure it will reach USD 10K very quickly.

I believe the price depends on which side will prevail, the manipulators who speed FUD or the manipulators who spread Hype.  If the one that spread Hype prevail, I can see a $10,000 bitcoin at the end of the year, else if the one that  spread FUD  prevail then it is possible to see 3 digit bitcoin again.
