Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

This is lower hashrate and higher power usage than even the shittiest rx 470.

You can find info on these cards only on second hand sources, kind of unreliable as well.
470 is out of production.
My guess is that somebody is just taking normal gpus changing the connection part and writing mining over it hoping somebody will fall for it.

Whoever buys this is stupid. For all we know, they could've just replaced the IO on the GPU and renamed it a mining card. No IO at all kills resale as well. There's practically no point in buying these.

The -35- version is also listed on NewEgg, but is "out of stock" as usual for any RX 470/480/570/580 card that isn't WAY overpriced. Newegg also lists a RX 570 based version.
The "no connectors" and open mount plate makes this a better card from a cooling standpoint than any other option I've seen (even in a CASE they should cool a little better than most blower-type cards), but the resale value is definitely not going to be good.
There ARE good usages for this card other than mining though, so you don't have to be "stupid" to buy one - they'd work FINE in a crossfire or a dual-card DirectX 12 setup, for a couple of examples. If you don't PLAN to resell the cards, they're a very GOOD deal right now.
The real POINT right now though is that they're quite a bit less expensive than "standard" comparable Nitro models or pretty much ANY other RX 470/480/570/580 card.
Keep in mind that the posted hashrates seem to be STOCK - not modded BIOS. Comparing them to BIOS MODDED card hashrates and power usage isn't a fair comparison.

OK, so I'm stupid. I got one of the 8gb Sapphire 470 mining edition card to compliment my 11GPU rig and help fill slots that I struggle to do these days as everyone wants £2m for a GPU. I was lucky in that I got my order in early and they are now much dearer, so I'm not properly stupid! However, stock, it runs (sort of), at around 19Mhs, bit naff, as my nvidia 1060s run at 20Mhs stock. I have my 1060s running at 25Mhs, but this special mining card......19Mhs max. Does anyone know of an overclock method to get this running faster, thinking of selling it otherwise and buying something (anything) else. The clock settings in claymore do nothing for this card, I have a rig with 6 570s running at 25Mhs each and very stable, but this card....nothing, seems like they have locked it out.
Anyone know a solution?

The new Sapphire RX 470 8gb Mining edition sku 11256-38 (Samsung memory). This card doesn't have display port, stock should give you 24MH/s.

Never buy those gpus. Mining edition has no meaning these days, when we could find normal versions of 580 easily.
