I have reported both posts in my auction thread, from which the first was a pure acitivty boost post, and the second is pure nonsense that should have been deleted as well.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1977663.0

Why does it take so long to just execute a simple post deletion?

You clearly set a local rule of not posting unless bidding, too.  The guy asking for information was likely just asking to boost his post count, I agree.  He could have asked you via PM if he was really interested and obviously didn't even read your entire post.  These dumbasses are a plague on this forum.

I assume you couldn't have made a self-moderated thread, right?

Don't know why mods aren't quicker deleting this crap.  I constantly report posts like those, and I've noticed that only some of them ever get deleted.  That's life.  I'm sure it's way more frustrating when it's your own auction thread.

Edit:  I did report those two posts as well, not that it matters probably.  I kinda figured you couldn't self-mod an auction thread.  Makes sense.

That's not possible in the auction section.

Problem is that everything that you report from users above the newbie rank, will require action from the section moderator (which in this case are Cyrus and hilariousandco), or a global moderator and above (which again comes down to Cyrus and hilariousandco) - that's why it's taking so long.

We should request them both to be removed from staff-moderator place just like Lauda and go touch theymos's balls asking why don't you do your job properly? can I be the one who takes out used condoms in this historical revolution against the tyrants of our time? see I am happy with doing jobs like that.
Imagine how Satoshi would have felt if he was among us still, good thing he's not otherwise he would've died from the expectations of people in this forum. hidden lol.

Posts got removed, at last. I was quite active with reporting posts from the main boards I am active in, but I largely stopped with that because it doesn't have much of an effect since the reported posts stay there for days. Most newbie post reports that can be handled by staff members, are taken care of quite swiftly, but everything else is not worth reporting anymore.
