Hello, after mining for a while with my laptop's GPU, which brough me the incredible amount of 0.0001 BTC over the last month, and I now want to up my game by investing into a hardware that could produce about 300MH/s.
And I know that 300MH/s is very low, but because electricity is basically free (I live with my parents), and because I want something not that costly until I learn more about the relation between Power Usage, Hash rate, Energy Costs and so on, this would work well.
So, my question is: Can you give me advice regarding what to buy that could produce 300MH/s?
My budget is somewhat limited so please don't exaggerate.
Thank you!

Your parents will be pissed off when that electric bill shows up with $400 extra on it My 120mhs eth farm of 6 GPUs added $200+ to my bill, but eth price has offset that very well...so far AMD GPUs are scarce for now...not sure when they will be back in stock, but AMD 560 4 gig are still around or the Nvidia 1060,cheap enough to get a quick ROI. https://forum.ethereum.org/categories/mining/p1

thanks for your input. that's why I want to start with something that doesn't use much power I read something about a USB ASIC Miner, which is able to reach 300MH/s, do you have any suggestions where I could find it? or if it is good for a beginner?

Bitcoin mining today is done with ASIC hardware, there is no profit for PC based mining. Old usb mining ASIC stick with 300MHs hash rate is useless.Proper hardware today is in a terahash scale. If you just want to try mining as a hobby with a USB ASIC stick, then I would suggest you Gekkoscience 2Pac stick, see here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1718358.0

(if i do what would you suggest) Thanks

Alternative cryptocurrencies like Ethereum, Zcash .... are a different story. Those coins can be mined nicely with high-end graphics cards PC setup.

You're in the correct forum, you just need to do a lot of reading. Plenty of folk coming here every day with the same questions. Here would be a good start for mining with GPUs for altcoins: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0
