So, I was requested to reengineer a blockchain platform, but the previous developer did not write the source code very nicely. I would use an automated program that makes the source code more organized, autocommented, beautiful. Something like StyleCop for C#, .NET, but automated. But in this case, the source code is Java, JSF, JSP and "POM" XML. Any similar program for these languages?

If you don't find anything, try outsourcing it on upwork. I had a similar situation about a year ago with some adopted code, it ran about $50, I had a talented dev from india fix it all up very nicely.

How I didn't think of it before? Yes, "beautifying" the source code must be possible for any talented dev who has experience with the languages. The only concern remains is, what about privacy? What if he "runs away" with the code itself? It's a closed-source project.
