you can badly ruin your mac, macs aren't made for this type of gpu processing. I would recommend you don't mine, it isn't profitable. If you have to mine get an ASIC machine.

You will not make any bucks, you will probably lose money and ruin your computer, yes cause your making the GPU work extra hard in a manner it was not designed for especially in a mac.

Mining runs your computer hard. You can take steps to run it easier, but you're not going to get much speed out of nvidia I'm afraid. And if it's integrated graphics - nothing at all. What Mac do you have? A Mac Pro is fine. Anything else, a little risky.

That said, I recommend MacMiner https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197110.0

You can probably guess why Wink

Just make sure you know what you're doing if you're going to mine. Check out the options you can use like -f 0-60 for poclbm or -I -10 to ~14 for cgminer/bfgminer, check your temperatures, maybe rev up the fans with smcfancontrol

MacMiner - The first, best and easiest to use native Mac coin mining app: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197110.0

I would suggest using low intensity when trying to mine on Macs, it's true that if the graphics card goes in one you've destroyed an expensive machine for the sake of hardly any coins which isn't clever, so think about that.

But I used DiabloMiner and honestly, it's not worth it, look into CGMiner, works so much better and more flexible in use of it, it requires learning to compile it unless you can find a premade binary for Mac, or for a small bitcoin donation I'll sort you out.

This is only if you have a Mac with a Radeon card though, if it's NVidia (all 2012 models are Nvidia), seriously don't bother you'll make nothing worth the wear you'll put on your graphics card.
