They claim 454.68 as the next diff.  Where did you see your numbers?

Allchains shows a network hash of 12 th/s

On all the network info I have pulled from various pools it shows a growing network hash of over 19 th/s

Everybody jumped on FTC and CHN/CNC last couple of days and pushed the difficulty too high. FTC and CHN hash rate was close to 5000 KH/s at its peak, now almost 1000 KH/s.

The fun is over there so all are coming back to LTC.

Litecoin next difficulty 485.98922868, network hash rate 19,963,056 kH/s

After FTC tanked Coinotron went from 1650 LTC miners to 2280. I'm not surprised about the diff.

On the bright side, with so many scrypt coins there'll hopefully always be one more profitable than BTC.

I think you are off by 1000. There is no way the Litecoin hashrate is 19TH/s with scrypt.

It's clearly almost 20 GH/s, but that is still almost double what it was a week ago. Apparently all of the new alt-coins can't put a dent into LTC mining or those rumored FPGA miners have entered the "minestream."

All those miners must have missed the memo that JKC was released !  I'm happy to mine that at difficulty 1.

Good luck to all the LTC miners

Personally I blame it on sites like coinchoose.com that shows the most profitable coin to mine at this point in time.

I checked Allchains like 3 days ago and the difficulty was suppose to drop 12% when the other coins where more profitable.  Now that it's number one the difficulty jump up 16% instead?

Coinchoose.com is broken, in as much as the profitability calculation can reorder the list every few minutes, it should be calculated on a weighted average of the trade ratio with BTC, over at least the past hour, even the past 24hours, not the spot price, to be meaningful to miners.

Allchains is the ONLY LTC network hash rate that's proven to be accurate time and time again.  All these network hash rates I've seen at the different LTC pools are ridiculously inaccurate.

LTC has proven time and time again to be solid for miners in the long run, even when sites like http://www.coinchoose.com and http://www.coinwarz.com show "NEW" coins at 1200% profit over mining BTC.  If you check today, LTC is back on top with a pretty consistent 150%.

jump on CHC train !

Apparently that is the place to go for scrypt miners.  Who knows how long that will last.
