UPDATE: I am shutting down the pool in 48 hours from the time of this edit since there's almost no hash power on my pool anymore, I don't know if it's because the difficulty of BBQCoins went up too much but it's rather silly for me to keep running a pool that only 1-2 other people use.

After actually trying to get p2pool to work for the longest time now everything is in narken's p2pool-altcoin fork and I've finally managed to get my pool up and running.  Everything seems to be working well so I'd appreciate it if you guys could help me test.

Just connect cgminer or reaper (I like to use GUIMiner-scrypt to manage them) to bbqpower.no-ip.biz on port 8900 and use your BBQCoin address as the username and type whatever you want for the pass (it doesn't check but you have to type something)

Stats page! http://bbqpower.no-ip.biz:8900/static/
(prettier and more useful page coming soon)

There's no fees, and it's running on a dual core 64-bit AMD Linux server at the moment.

Please post if you're having trouble.  Seems like we have about 10% of the total p2pool rate right now.

If a block is found the pool will tell your miner to start over on new data since mining me old stuff no longer makes sense.  Are you using cgminer?

Pool rate is coming up nicely with a big drop in DOAs which are now below the p2pool average.  Hit a few dead shares earlier but they seem to have been good for the last 10 shares.

Efficiency is coming up, it's really been over 90% for the last 50 or so shares but the average shows low because of early on when there was no hash power on the pool and it gave 9 dead ones right after each other.  Pool rate is now over 3Mhash so things should only get better.

Working on a proper domain for the pool as well.

Server's back up and running, should have better connectivity and performance now after some changes and I doubled the RAM for the server (not that the pool server is under particularly high memory demand)

Upgraded stats page is now up and running:
http://bbqpower.no-ip.biz:8900/static/

If you want the more basic and old school stats page I've kept it online for now here: http://bbqpower.no-ip.biz:8900/static/old/

Pool is getting excellent efficiency now  Cool Grin and getting close to 4 Mhash/s
I think if we can keep it around 10% of the total p2pool hash rate it'd be perfect, I don't think too much hashpower should be sitting on any particular p2pool node since it defeats the purpose pretty badly but it seems like nodes with too little power get killed by orphans.

Wow, big drop in hash power this morning, is everyone giving up on bbqcoin mining already?  Connectivity looks ok on my end, anybody having problems?

Rate went back up nicely I guess people just had their comps off =P
Efficiency is good and we have super low DOAs right now =)

Unfortunately I think that hashing power has dropped so much on my pool that I'm just gonna shut it down, no point in keeping a pool running if nobody is using it =(
I'm gonna keep it up for another 48 hours but it will be shut down after that, wanna give people some notice to pull their miners.

Hehe, are you the one CPU miner that was still connected?  I put quite a bit of time into setting this up but it seemed like even at it's peak I was making up 30% of the hash power so I guess there just were never that many people using it.  I think there's just too many pools out there, not sure why a 0% pool that had no downtime wasn't more popular but I can use my server hardware for other projects again Wink

lol...well I have a 9800gtx+ pointed at it and a 7850 that is rotating alt coins ATM....so ya..low hashes pointed at it, but it did/does work...in fact I just got another payment while typing this...sorry it didn't take off, but as far as a test goes...it went well IMHO.
