a company registered in the UK, running a website called btc-e.com which uses Cypriot law.   

also, you can alert their banks about that too


once you cut their links with banks, the exchanger will sink for sure. also, they are very close to Mayzus

Taking another exchange out will do no good to anyone. Btc-e is a major exchange since the early days of bitcoins. Many people never ever had any problems. (this includes me) As for acc suspensions, they are automatic. It is your fault if you left your precious coins in btc-e more than a year.

If your accounts got suspended, just do as they say and unlock it. If you don't like their services, don't use it.

Btc-e is staying anonymous because of obvious reasons. Just like poloniex. (which i don't have any love) There are only a couple well-known/regulated exchanges and they are far worse than btc-e. i.e. Coinbase

Send me a pm, if you can verify id  I will show you something that change your mind about BTC-E and will support us. THose are bad people. You were just lucky they did not do this to you (yet)

Thank you for your additions. However, the case with btc-e is very complicated. There are many different interests that also involve relevant bank employees and even policy staff and employees at the authorities themselves. This rabbit hole is deeper than we had in mind before we started the campaign.
That is why we have chosen for the RDC campaign, then all things that are not correct will solve themselves as soon as all data is public.

the banks are not working "alone". see what the US correspondent banks did to the Bitfinex's bank from Taiwan.  . they blocked international wires in USD

so, you should start with them. contact BTC-e bank, contact their correspondent bank and tell them that BTC-e is an illegal(unlicensed) exchanger and according to EU laws they must get a financial license.

there is no bank in this world who can say "we don't care and we support an illegal business"

I think the issue that people (such as myself) are having with BTC-E is that not only is their reason for suspending peoples accounts a bit strange (so you've not used it for several years, so what?) but that communication with their support team is so unprofessional that undermines any confidence in their business.

I don't want to send high res photos of my passport, and me holding a passport to a company whose identity/location I'm unaware of, who don't reply to my emails promptly (eg within a week) if at all. At best they seem wildly out of their depth, unable to cope with the scale of their business and customer support, and at worst fraudulent.

Have any of your issues been resolved?
I am trying to retrieve my account aswell with ~10k funds on it...

However I did send my passport, electricity bill and verified my e-mail and such.

Their bank require to verify the identity of their customers (KYC).

If you are using their services but without loading/withdrawing funds with wire transfer (or other non-secure method susceptible to chargeback fraud), it does not make sense BTC-E to require scans of your identity documents.

How did you funded your account? Crypto or fiat? Or non-cryto e-currency?
