BURST mining exploit or botnet?

I'm observing some weird happenings on the BURST network for the past 2 days.
Searching for reasons, I stumbled across this:

Can someone please comment on that? Is BURST doomed? Seems after the rally of the past week, we're about to see some bloody waterfalls.

The pool owner said that user had connections from 15k IPs.

It's without a doubt a botnet.

Watt 15k IPS? definately a bot net then but wouldn't the user know if the pcs are compromosed?

I would guess hiding Burst mining is much easier than CPU or GPU mining.

You only notice that you don't have much free space (depending on how much space is being used, likely not all of them) while CPU/GPU mining causes lags and fan noise due to heat so it's easier to notice.

And I'd guess you could Burst mine even on stuff like Raspberry PIs or even smartphones without their owner easily noticing them.

Technically you wouldn't even have to notice the lack of free space as with enough of a security breach you could mine from free space only.

I don't really have the information related to BURST? Is it a some sort of exchange? or platform that is necessary for crypto transaction? I think its another negative news here on crypto that should be looked at.
