Interesting. The address is empty, and it's just a countdown to the 4th of July.

I did not make the site. I mean what use is it to anyone lol

I have email alerts from a few important onion sites that I like to keep upto date on.

Does nobody else use Tor then? When I posted this I thought that someone would say that they already knew.

I also don't have the extra money for silly sites like that as I run bbqcoin.org

The website is stupid.

It's a Bitcoin address and a countdown to the 4th July.

I am from the UK but is that independence day?

I'm not the conspiracy type but did anyone else notice the price of bitcoins on MtGox crossed $66.60 for the first time since the April crash on July 4th, the day this countdown was set for?

I mean, what are the odds of something like that?

EDIT: Just did a search for the image on this page and apparently it's a part of an art piece by Alejandro Guijarro called "Momentum." WHAT DOES IT MEAN?

Have not got a clue but having the countdown get to Zero and have the price of Bitcoin at 66 dollars was strange.

Are you sure it went down to 66.6 on July 4th? From looking at bitcoincharts for that range in the minute resolution, I see it hitting that low on July 5th at 17:42 GMT, but not on the 4th. If it happened at 6:10am GMT on the 4th, which seems to be the lowest point (72) in the morning according to bitcoincharts, then that would be 6am + 10 minutes, which is 600 seconds.  If so, then "what the hell?" would be right.  Still, its close, especially since the domain was bought May 8th, when the price was above 110.

Back in 2002 on the 1 year anniversary of 9/11, the S&P 500 futures closed at 911.00. They made a big deal about it at the time. http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/749198/posts

That would be due to lack of traffic or that fact there is little to no content. One page of static text is terrible SEO.

Maybe now the site has our attention they might do something with it. Why predect a price of Bitcoin on a given day but not do anything with it.

Give us another prediction please and make it like $1000 if thats ok? Cheers

Oh and the drawing on the site looks a little like a section of Unified Field Theory.

Would we say this thread of best in the off topic section or maybe the Bitcoin discussion section? It really interested my now that someone on mxcNow pointed out to me that more information has been added to the site and written in a very strange way.

Make up a bunch of nonsense about proof that Bitcoin is the mark of the beast then plaster it with adsense ads and get rich off bible thumpers?  For a bonus helping of irony use your adsense checks to buy more Bitcoins.

That sounds like a great idea. Which makes me wonder, why is there no adverts on that website? I will generate 0 income. What is the point of it?

No. No. and NO!    I'd rather be poor laying in a ditch before I ever tried to associate with the thumpers..   Nor would I ever say anything about bitcoin being the mark of the beast!  In the world of currencies bitcoin is a god!   The almighty US $ is the devil.. and not the metalheaded anti jesus devil that i like.. it's more like the redneck at the store that won't shut up about how his dog ate his meth!

You'll need to go to bitcoin10000.org for that prediction.

Sam Spade: We were talking about a lot more money than this.
Kasper Gutman: Yes, sir, we were, but this is genuine coin of the realm. With a dollar of this, you can buy ten dollars of talk.
