Do you trust the United States of America?

I am a Filipino and I have some relatives living there. Since high school i have heard of rumors that America has a lot of secrets. I even read an article that says America will lead the 666, it said that the CIA manipulated some countries to make their dollar stable and strong, so on and so forth. I don't know if this is all true, what do you think?

I generally find people but especially Americans themselves to be paranoid of their government. My personally I trust my government because it is very open and corrupt free. I think the problem with the US is that as a superpower they are more open to criticism than most other countries. I would say for certain things I trust them and for others I don't.

I am not a politician so I have nothing to do with its secret or whatever.  I trust them because all there products are good.  They continue to give aide to poor people around the globe.  They are powerful and can always turn on.  They also advance in technology that is why I trust them.

The US government not the people are the most untrustworthy people ever in the entire world, their words are mostly half truths and just plain lies , and they are always meddling in the affairs of other people.

I completely second this. I'm in stitches every time someone calls the US land of freedom and democracy!!! There hasn't been a conflict in the past century that has not been initiated or instigated by the US, covertly or otherwise. If they were not struggling to keep their world hegemony at all costs, we would all be living in a much more peaceful world.

There is this interesting book called "Confessions of an Economic Hit Man" by John Perkins published in 2004 which details many covert operations by the CIA, especially in LatAm. You can find it on YT as audiobook. It's quite chilling how far they are willing to go to cling on to their status of only world superpower. Unfortunately for them though, the world has since changed and there are more big players involved now to keep them all under control.

It's obvious that regardless who you have in the WH, it really is the intelligence services that are in charge and in bed with the big corporations

As far as country is concerned, every country think of themselves and their own well being, everyone has their secrets and versions of Truth. Trust yourself that's all is what matters.

Any country that will be as 'great' as America to be the most powerful country in the world will have more secrets than any other country and would even not be liked by so many country especially those that are against their ideologies. US in some areas I like the way they practice their own form of democracy but I don't trust their resolution of not interfering with internal issues of countries especially the ones they know cannot match them. This is where the grouse comes from.

Nowadays the government hides a lot of the facts from its citizens. They ban the dissemination of information, saying that all that data is classified. This can be due to many reasons, but the primary reason may be to hide the unethical practices of the politicians.
