Are there any lower-cost services or legal co-ops to help "Real_People" with BTC related legal issues?
or, At least in the USA, are the small guys already blocked out of the system due to high start-up costs?

Before you dive headfirst into coin buying, i advise you to get acquainted with some of the fundamentals of numismatics, if you haven't done so already. Make use of the menu on the left hand side of this page to explore the basics. You really should have at least a rudimentary understanding of coin types, grading, mint marks, value trends, and key date analyses before you buy your first coin.

I think most lawyers that specialize in business and tax law are familiar with cryptocurrencies and could help you. Some are even helping people here on the forum for free, for example here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1724798.0

If that's not enough, you can always describe the problem and get advice from a forum member who was in a similar situation.

Considering the cost of a real lawyer or tax specialist, you may try to get some information on this forum. It won't be guaranteed, but it will be free.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

I really am happy for your help, but I intended to ask about virtual coins, sorry that was not more clear.

Of course, free web "legal info" only goes so far, but the advice and the link look great, thanks!
