Greetings everyone.

We are a pair if colleagues part of the cryptocurrencies world. We have been mining BTC for some years and now we skipped to ETH

We have created an ETH Pool 100% in Spanish so if you are interested you can come and mine with us. Our pool is completely based on Open Ethereum Pool.

Right now we own a stable minimum of 275MH/s, although we are always eager to improve our mining power, it's not yet possible due to lack of GPUS in the market.

We will answer your questions here at this post. Also you can check the original post in the Spanish forum.

Although if the acceptance of the site is positive we are planing on adding some kind of online support tool inside the pool's web itself.

Hi MikeLove2, thanks for you suggestions. I answer you below:
1) We think 0.5 is a reasonable quantity for a starting pool, however we are discussing if we should lower it a bit once the pool stabilizes.
2) Our main idea was to make a pool for the spanish comunity since there are not pools in our language. As we are an open pool everyone can come and mine with us regardless their language. So we have updated the main post with the steps to follow If someone wants to mine in our pool.
3) Actually we are using PROP, we are a new pool and we want people to try out with some profit, this combined with our 0,5 threshold means you need to mine for some time, improving pool mining capacity & stability.
4) You can ask directly here or at webmaster@bethemister.com. We will update our page with contact info.

Thanks again and you are welcome in donkey.bethemister.com

Yes, but we got an issue that made round percent back to 0, we will fix this in the next few hours
We will compensate with extra ETH for all miners

We have decided compensate as follows:

  • Donkey Bethemister Miners gets no compensation 0x5d62b07...
  • 0x5c8236d... -> 0,33 ETH added to current balance
  • 0x12cc124... -> 0,151 ETH added to current balance
  • 0xa587ba1... -> 0,11 ETH added to current balance

We have calculated the compensation according to current shares of miners before the server issue during the last round.

We isolated the issue and took the necessary measures for this not to happen again.

This pool is better than ethermine?

They are different types of pool.

Ethermine is a pool for big miners with high hashrate and pulls blocks very fast but reward for each block is lesser than ours.

Small pools like donkey.bethemister.com pulls block every few days but reward is higher for each block.

If you want to try sometime with us, you are welcome.

Talking in Long Term you earn about the same ETH in any pool (excluding fees). The main difference is that in bigger pools you get small payments very frecuently, however in smallers pools you get bigger payment every few days.

Have in mind that in a big pool you are just a number due to the insane amount of miners, whereas in smaller pools like ours, we treat our miners kindly and try go give them support very fast, we work hard to keep the pool and, more important, the people in it, in good shape and mood. Finally, working in small pools you help decentralize the network.

Update:

As most of our fellow miners are english speaking we have translated the User Interface.

Support will continue in both Spanish and english.

Thank you!

Pool UPDATE:

Pool fee is now only 0.1% (Down from 1%). We have taken this decission to favour our miners, both current and new ones. We expect to grow and consolidate our Pool and everyone is welcome.

Hi, am mining on Donkey. I have a question about the possibility to see actual status of how much in Ether I did mine. I see my round share, but have no idea how much is it in ether and have no idea how long to mine till it will turn to ether value. I personally feel like this can be reason why there is so little miners. I too do think about go back to ethermine.org, cause like this, there isnt way to plan things up, when I dont know, how long till 0.1 ether. Cant this be changed?

Also, it would be nice to have some possibility to communicate in real time together on Donkeypool Smiley

You will get paid proportionarly to your share contribution to the round versus the discovered block value, which usually is ≈5 ETH. So to be clear a miner that contribute 50% of the round shares will get approximately 2,5 ETH.

To get 0,1 ETH you need about 2% of the round shares when the block shows up. Have in mind that when people stop mining their round percentage will innevitably go down since there are other miners getting shares.

Also have in mind that our mínimum payment is 0,01 not 0,1.

Regards!

Thank you for reply. Its all clear. One more question. How can I decide, if I want to be paid on 0.01 or 1 eth?
