Safest / Easiest exchange

New to the world of crypto, and would like to begin trading on a small scale, just to get used to the environment.

What exchanges are currently regarded as the safest and easiest to use(knowing of course that none are truly safe)?

I've been pointed toward Poloniex by a friend, but googled some shady stuff about them.

Welcome on board noob, I am about to suggest you an exchange but please be careful because it's possible to get scammed by entering scam coins, so don't buy anything that anyone talks about in the trollbox of yobit, yobit is a good starting point for newbies.

well, for doing Poloniex's verification, you'll probably have to wait for months YES MONTHS. as myself, i have been waiting for a level 2 verification to pass for 2 MONTHS!!!!!!!
