I already have a lot of 'scam' posts in ripple threads and will happily put the ripple scam link etc. in my Signature for life for 5 BTC. I am a very active and trusted member with 20+ daily post average in active threads. PM me if you want, I would prob take a little less than 5BTC as well

opencoin the company who started ripple is now funded my Marc Andreessen.
you know the dude behind mosaic and netscape, who came up with cloud computing back in 2000....
sure he wants to make money for his VC fund, but he has a much bigger reputation to uphold than anyone else on this thread, and not invest into something that's going to make him look like a douche bag.
just some perspective ... and do some research...
ps - why would anyone offer that much cash unless you were b/s'ing people for personal gain, sorry but if you want to be altruistic give that 5 BTC to the Red Cross or whatever...

I'm glad I am not on first page, and so do not face the moral dilemma of possibly taking 500$ to advertise something I strongly disagree with

I'm glad I am not on first page, and so do not face the moral dilemma of possibly taking 500$ to advertise something I strongly disagree with I totally would take that, and then go back to the guys at OpenCoin and tell them that I am willing to take $500 from them to take it down that 2nd part needs to be phrased correctly so that it does not qualify as extortion... lol

The current offer is now 1 BTC as I have already paid 5 BTC to cptmooseinc and we already have at least 1 first page slot. I have sent you 1 BTC. If you do not accept this offer, return 1 BTC to 1GLados.

Tell you what, hook me up w/ 5 and I'll bump the font size up +1 for ya.

I support this movement. At first i was very exited about Ripple. But I realized Open Coin don't want to give away their ripples as they promised, because that would make their ripples worth less. They don't want to open source it, because it would make their ripples worthless (because first thing that would happen would be someone creating ripple fork, and give away its currency in more fair way). Who is making most money on ripple except of Open Coin? All trolls and scammers who had multiple accounts on bitcointalk. Probably some hackers too, who hacks old bitcointalk accounts. This is not fair distribution by any stretch of imagination.
I still hope eventually they will give away big amount of XRP and will open source their code. But until then be careful and don't buy ripples with BTC. Current XRP price is ridiculous. It make all XRP worth more than all BTC, while Open Coin keep almost 99.9% or XRP for themselves. Most likely current XRP price is result of market manipulation by Open Coin themselves.
How this is different from Bitcoin? Bitcoin has predictible distribution schedule. Same distributoin rules apply to creator as to anyone else. If you feel Bitcoin is not fair you are free to create fork. In case of ripple you can't.
