Is my cold wallet (created a couple of years ago with v2.5.4) safe or do I need to take any action? I'd like not to touch my wallet for the long term, but I'm not sure what its destiny, technically speaking, will be after the much awaited event that will occur in August. Should I be worried?
You should be fine leaving them for now. Its still a bit early to see what will happen with the event in August. I think cold wallets should be fine and wouldn't really require action. Its the transferring of coins that you will need to be more concerned about.
