Google wasn't much help.
I'm interested in starting to mine cryptocurrencies, but I don't want to mine bitcoin, because ASICs just make it not profitable for most people like myself. Instead of I'm interested in mining a "proof of capacity" based coin.
I already know about burstcoin. From what I've been reading burstcoin looks like by far the most popular POC based cryptocoin. But are there any others?
From what I'm researching it just seems to me that POC is the way to go over proof of work or proof of stake, because it uses less electricity, and it doesn't look like it can be decentralized through ASIC mining like Bitcoin, or some of the other more popular cryptocurrencies. Prius drivers, and the millions of other environmentally conscious people out there will probably drift towards proof of capacity coins based on the lower overall carbon footprint. With the over inflated prices of graphics cards now, it looks like harddrive mining is the way to go.
What do you guys think?
Do you know of any other proof of capacity based cryptocoin?
What cryptocoin are you currently mining, and why do you farm it over a proof of capacity based coin?
