 Yacoin fails in many ways.
First of all, it was released immediately and withount any announce - "1.5 days later" with technical premine - so, many of us just hadn't time to react.
Initial difficulty is way too low, blockcreation speed is abnormal and all that cause unaffordable amount of stales and orphans.
I insist that it should be restarted with clear launch date announce (at least 12 hours in advance), initial difficulty should be adjusted.

If none of proposed actions will be done, it should be understood as one of the scamiest scamcoins.

P.S: Fair rules will make this currency and its holders to prosper, else it will be forgoteen very fast.

P.P.S:
but it's the most fair altcoin launch so far
agree, though...

There was no premine. When i opened up the client for the first time there were only 13 blocks
when i had sync.

Um, it was announced plenty of time in advance.  Yes the exact time wasn't correct but everyone was waiting.  Nothing scammy here unless GPU's are already mining it.

The dev gave an extra 1.5 days after planned launched date, which amounts to about 60h+ to get ready. What's the problem?

I'm not sure how you could "relaunch" a coin. Once people are mining it, how could you stop them from doing so?

so, many of us just hadn't time to react.

So because you didn't react in time to be on it within the first few hours, it should be re-released.

Get out, joker.

So people think it's a scam when they don't get anything for not giving anything?

I thought scam is when you invested something and somebody takes your stuff and runs

Don't bother relaunching, just let it die.

There was also pre-release code that could be used to test installation, and the YAC thread was all day on the forum's front page due to gif fun.

I agree the lauch time was off and he should have announced a new date, but he didn't, but it's the most fair altcoin launch so far, since it was in fact preannounced, and it couldn't be mined with GPUs at start. About 20 mins after it was launched it was on block 49, so he couldn't have had alot of CPU power on it. The block generation rate is still fast several hours after lauch, but for most that only means more orphaned blocks. The starting difficulty should have been higher for sure.

Anyway, even I managed to snag a few blocks with my core i5 and a core i7 (The core i7 was way worse btw for some weird reason).

It's not about YAC being a scam or not, but this is the biggest "premine" I've seen so far here Cheesy (not really premine, as all had equal opportunity to jump in - though the launch was not at the previously set time)

Based on the description this coin has 10 minute PoW block targets, yet even now there are blocks being found every 1-3 seconds. There are already 14.5k blocks mined - compare that to NVC, which has 19971 (!!!) or FTC, which has "only" 32546 blocks mined, having a 4* faster block target.. Even BTB, that is many times attacked for being a premined coin has 6531 blocks mined so far.

I consider this a way bigger advantage for early adaptors than ANY other coin had so far. And it's only a few hours gone so far, I wonder how these statistics will look like tomorrow at this time.
It's up to the market (us) to decide if we accept this though.

YES!!!! We must also relaunch BTC and LTC too! Since I was still wearing diapers when they got out, I didn't have enough chance to start mining them.
