Agreed, maybe I have missed something. I just do not see what the big deal is with these coins

Wow, I got one too, in the first hour no less, not expecting that. 2 threads on an old AMD Phenom X3 720. 1 orphan too.

I had a go... Started about 1hr after announced, with 4Ghz 8 core 8350 on win7. The first 30 minutes was wasted as I encrypted the wallet, which prevented mining. After five hours with 8 cpus @ 100% I had 15 orphans & 0 accepted.

gave up on YAC already - 6 hours mining on a 2500k and an i5 2410 and nothing except 2 orphans. Bad luck and not being able to control the firewall on one of them turned me off.

Current difficulty is 0.53690368 and I have yet to find a block at 100kh/s. Anyone here selling YAC?
