Hi guys,

just to warn everyone that user 'Chaang Noi' (who I lovingly refer to as Mr. Goat) is obviously attempting maneuvers to sabotage this auction.

I have given detailed reasons here:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=196368.new#new

I also want to point out that he is BANNED from bidding on this auction. Any post or offer made by him is invalid. I am glad he has however managed to 'confirm' that the property is indeed for sale and that we are the owners. That should give some new confidence to people for bidding.

I again ask that any non bid discussions be sent to the above thread in order to allow my auction to continue in peace.

Many thanks

B

I was not able to confirm you are the owners or that you have the right to sell the property. I was only able to confirm the address of the house in the photo and thus was able to get a rough value for the house you claim to have.

Please do not lie.

Mr. Goat

60 btc

yes I've seen the reserve 'update' of the rules
nevertheless even ebay allows bidding below reserve

fair point, no argument. Feel free to bid below the reserve, but bear in mind that under the circumstances, its down to my Girlfriend to have the final say under 150. Bids over 150 (except those from anyone I have banned, or from anyone labeled a scammer) will automatically be accepted no questions.

OK.....so we are on the final hurdle of this chapter of this auction.

So far.....we have a bid at 60BTC from Binford 6100 which is well received but the reserve has been set at 150 (for reasons which have been made clear).

Throw one in for 150 and you have my attention. If someone offers 150BTC before Midnight, GMT tonight, it will be taken.

Be part of history with the first bitcoin house sale- I believe that although there are many houses offered for sale with bitcoin taken, no one has yet sold a house in virtual currency anywhere. So we could make history.

Thank you to all for standing by me, lets see what the next couple of hours bring.

timing is bad for Americans, late afternoon to dinnertime on a Saturday.  I cannot commit without more info that I cannot obtain in 20 minutes.   run it again, boss...

That may happen if it does not meet reserve. I was not expecting Americans as a target audience to be fair. Target was UK ex pats who love buying piles of stone in random places in Europe......

i also can´t see what the current bid is? how should I give up a bid without knowing who is ahead at the moment?

I think my threads became a bit of a mess Sad

Well the house is still for auction. Any takers?

and tomorrow a BTC could fall  to $1, or anything could happen in the several months the property takes to transfer......the spirit is supposed to be not comparing a bitcoin to fiat currency or might as well just auction a property in dollars/euros etc right, or basically admitting that bitcoin has no use as a currency!

Why not just take the current bid of 25?

Its more than reasonable.

It was significantly more valuable yesterday.

If this post was useful, interesting or entertaining, then you've misunderstood.

Well, 25 BTC is definitely way overpriced for that house. So, yes, he should seriously take it and run.
Actually, given the condition and the location of the house, I consider it having a negative value on the real estate market.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna go build my own blockchain. With blackjack and hookers! In fact forget the blockchain.
