Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

There is no Electrum iOS app created. So for now, no!

Also im curious but do most people store their bitcoins on their computer as oppose to other places besides paper wallet?

Bitcoiners use

  - Hardware wallets
  - Computer
  - Paper wallets
  - Mobile
  - USB or other storage devices

Usually, people use mobile wallets for small amount. For large amounts, most of them tend to go for cold storage or hardware wallet. There are users who use mobile for storing large amounts. For example, you can use Bither hot+cold wallets for storing Bitcoins securely. How great security depends on users.

Like some ppl might store bitcoin on blockchain and they can access it anytime with their phone right?

Yes, if you store in exchanges or online wallets, you can access your Bitcoins anytime.

But doing this is not so secure so thats why bitcoins should be stored in computer always?

I highly recommend you not to use online wallets or exchanges to store your bitcoins. Whether to store bitcoins in computer or not is up to you!

Also what about ppl that use a program like trezor etc.  Could they store bitcoin on their phone pretty safe with trezor etc?

I want to tell you that we aren't actually storing bitcoins in our wallets. We are storing private keys which is needed to access/send bitcoins. Trezor and all other hardware wallets, afaik, store private keys inside. They never expose private keys and that's what makes them secure. As private keys never leave the device, you can reduce chances of losing bitcoins (or potential risks of a hot wallet). Therefore, if you are using, "normally", you can not send bitcoins from your mobile *without* Trezor.

Thanks.

You are welcome!

There have been rumors of a possible Electrum App for iPhone but so far there hasn't been one.

I've heard good things about Breadwallet for iPhone so you may want to check that out for storing bitcoins on your phone.

Bither and Mycelium. But, Mycelium may not be as user-friendly to many as Bither and Breadwallet.

ummm how do I put this... NOOOOOOOOO

For God's sake, not Bither. I put 2 BTC in Bither when I was just learning about bitcoin (value was about $500 - 700). I could not send from the wallet and so I thought 'meh I'll figure it out later - I know they are secure for now'. NOPE! Now that I actually need those coins to pay off debt (now worth more than $30k) guess what?! Their private 'peer to peer' network doesn't actually link with the blockchain, and so the wallet still shows I have a crap ton of money, but I can't send it anywhere - and, yes, I have tried contacted the developers (they are terrible and either shady or just dismissive, kept accusing me of not being clear enough though I attached step by step screenshots of the process and what I was seeing; the underlying code for the wallet is also seriously screwy and proprietary, which is a problem compounded by the devs constantly changing the functions without releasing instructions or any detail on the changes). Oh, and the UI does inexplicable nonsense well, but basic functions as horribly as possible (eg the graphic of a BTC can spin....why?? No reason. Nothing happens. Send to any normal address? Noooo overly complicated impossibility).

Can't speak to mycelium, but DO NOT RECOMMEND TO OTHERS. Avoid this TOXIC software and "decentralized Peer to Peer" (translation: questionable, untraceable, and contrary to the principle of the blockchain) wallet. I highly suspect the devs absconded with my BTC months ago...

Why not just check your addresses on a blockexplorer? If your 2BTC are still on the address, chances are you're still good... just need to get your private keys out.

I just had a look at Bither on Android... aside from the terrible UI, it seems like you can export private keys... or seed phrases etc... so, I wouldn't write your 2 BTC off just yet!

But yes, I have to agree with your assessment of the app... looks pretty awful to be honest.

Hey all got a question about this.  Let say you want to have a tiny bit of btc on your iphone.  Because when you look at lot of videos of people online who go and buy things with btc on their phone as they scan the code to another phone or something similar, what program are they most likely using?  Is it breadwallet or mycelium?  I saw a video of someone in Japan who would buy things with btc by using their phone and then transferring it to another phone as payment etc.  If you have a tiny amount of btc on your phone that is generally fine?

The other thing im curious about is this that im not sure about.  I heard apple macbooks and iphones cannot get viruses or if they can, its very hard.  So is it possible if you download any suspicious links on your iphone or install some strange program on your iphone, it could be compromised and any wallet you have such as breadwallet could be compromised?  The other thing i wanted to know is this.  Let say you have minikeepass on your iphone where you store your passwords.  Keepass is what you have on your computer.  So if you download a virus/malware or click something on your iphone, then log into your keepass program... by typing in your masterpassword etc, is it possible for a hacker to see every single account/password you have on minikeepass?  Also what if you click on malware on your main computer and then you log into keepass.  Could the hacker look at every account/password you created on keepass then?

I think it would be the best to use is mycelium but this wallet is not segwit supported and the developers still no update about segwit unlike breadwallet that i heard last month this coming 2018 they will support segwit. but if you are just looking for best wallet base on what i experienced mycelium still the best..
About for viruses or malware or hacking never heard that IOS affected by malware or viruses but for hacking like phishing if you are not checking the website url if its fake or not it can be possible to hack your account..
I think iphone didn't allowed to installed any suspicious apps from apple store they are verifying it first before they can visible the apps in the appstore.
But i don't recommend to use the keepass because i heard that sometimes their database could not load properly and for me its not safe to use any 3rd party software just to save your important password or seeds.
To be safe highly recommended is to write down it into 2 pieces of paper and put them in to your safety places in your house or use hardware wallet instead just in case if you really wanted to be more safety..
