Trollbox.fr - Poloniex TrollBox chat alternative and live currency data

Hi,

The Poloniex TrollBox was disabled a few weeks ago. Not always been the best place for good advice, but had some good laughs while reading it.
So I started to develop an alternative : https://www.trollbox.fr/

Features:
- No registration, no ads, no tracking
- Currently no moderation (that may come...)
- Emoji support
- Lightweight and fast
- Live currency data for all markets, coming from Poloniex API
- Double-clicking a currency pair opens Poloniex Exchange for that pair
- Simple and clear
- Can be integrated into Poloniex website with a bookmarklet

Everyone is welcome to talk there, if you want to give it a try !  Keep in mind this is still a very young service so not too much traffic right now. It all depends on you

Poloniex chatbox was disabled for good reasons, i dont think it is safe for people to chat on some un-moderated chatbox where the scam can easily happen.

Good point if that were on the original trollbox, but I think that you'll only find this new trollbox if you missed the original one, and so you already know that you have to be careful.
Plus, officially they disabled it for concentrating their efforts on customer support, not because it was not safe.

If you want to stay in Poloniex, that's also possible! I created a bookmarket for that.

Warning: I advise users to go to trollbox.fr instead of using the bookmarklet, because if my website get hacked, this could result in the stealing of your cookies or coins.

If you understand that and still want to continue with the bookmarklet, follow the steps below.

Just create a new favorite or bookmark in your browser, with the following URL:

Then go to Poloniex website and click on the bookmark. The trollbox should load
Keep in mind that it's not Poloniex official trollbox but the one available on trollbox.fr.

While I'm not pointing finger on the dev who may be honest. This may  be or become a scam. And even if it's not, trollbox.fr might get hacked and behave as the hacker want.
Allowing external javascript to run on poloniex website is DANGEROUS.
It could result in the steal of your cookies, buying/selling coins ...

Guys whats the reason to look for Poloniex trollbox alternative? Poloniex's trollbox is useless and a waste of time. The trollbox is used by pump and dump groups to make a coin hype. And now that the chatbox is gone. I feel the peace, no more worries, fake pumps due to hype is reduced by 90%.

You are right to warn people about this, I am honest indeed and would never do such a thing like stealing cookies or coins, and paid attention to security on trollbox.fr, but the hacking risk can't be zero and cannot be ignored.

Therefore I myself advise people to not use my service using the bookmarklet, but instead to go to trollbox.fr directly.
I'll update the post to include that warning.

People don't want to chat on some random trollbox, people want to chat on polo trollbox. Being able to chat is not their main aim, their main aim is to chat with real polo users and being able to communicate with polo mods/admins without needing to wait for customer service's response when something goes wrong.

Unless you have some polo admins using that trollbox, nobody will go there

Faster support, solving problems, easier to ask questions. People posting pumpndump shit in the old Trollbox got instantly banned.

Only think you feel is the signature spam, which is why you wrote your post.
