I just transferred USD from Dwolla to Bistamp ( via bitinstant) and now want to transfer it to Ripple to buy XRP. I was wondering what the better option would be: Send to Ripple account in USD or send in Bitcoin?

any thoughts?

Even if you use Bitcoin through Tor, the way transactions are handled by the network makes anonymity difficult to achieve. Do not expect your transactions to be anonymous unless you really know what you're doing.

It doesn't make a difference either way...just depends on the internal market exchange rate and that changes frequently.  So check the prices and go for it.
