Obviously this is the "wrong" place for this thread, but since I can't post any where else for the time being:

Does anyone know what's up with Eligius: of the last 36 solved blocks (as of right now), 7 have been invalid (including a 12-hour groaner). This seems to be a ridiculously unlikely number. Thoughts?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

The illustration being: http://eligius.st/~artefact2/blocks/1PvLowa5f59HXfeEyTrBAog6ybosdn4qME

Up until around 4 days ago (approximately block 131092, right before the last US block), the number of invalid blocks seems to be somewhat in line with deepbit's estimate of 1-ish%, then look at what has happened since.

It would seem extremely unlikely that the US pool going haywire at the same time the number of invalid blocks has increased around 20-fold are unrelated.
