Hackers have made just 3.7 bitcoin – or less than $10,000 – with the latest cyberattack

Those behind the recent cyberattack affecting businesses around Europe have successful received a total of nearly 4 bitcoins, worth around $9621 at today's price.

I think by now it's quite easy to assume that the motives of the entity behind this attack isn't to gain a whole lot of Bitcoins, but more to disrupt certain economies. As long as businesses, hospitals, government departments, etc, aren't willing to take these problems seriously, and take the right precautions, these ransomware attacks will remain worthwhile for the entity behind them. To be continued....

I did hear late last night it was a total of 13,000 affected users of the cyber attack that was released earlier in the week and it spread to the eastern US already.
It comprised computer system at the chernobyl nuclear power plant in the Ukraine.
This is of a criminal thing if they are endangering lives and the safety of the environment.
