So here is what happened. I got my 7970 today. Imidiately installed newest drivers and SDK. Then I found out the previous versions might help my card perform better. So I uninstalled both driver and SDK. Installed new drivers and BOM. no more cmgminer for me :/ It doesent crash as it normally has been doing when I put in some wrong parameters but I get the standard "This program has stopped working" Close program or check for solution online. I went with the last options. Anybody know what is wrong?

On another topic, since I first started a thread. Mind telling me if :
600 khas for scrypt mining (cnc only tried)
700 mhs btc mining.
Is up to par on a 7970 card?

Any help appriciated. Been at it for 9 hours now getting abit tired.

edit: Same shit with Guiminer!
edit n2: After reading further on readme I see there is probably some of the old driver files lurking around causing havoc. Anybody know if driversweeper works well on windows 7? Says its only tested on vista and xp on guru3d.
Triple edit: Mining has actually made me forget about new GOT episode! thats crasy

Its allright! I just had to pull myself together!! But so tired, was kinda hoping someone had some magic answer I could do with a couple of mouseclicks.
Downloaded Trexy Driverfusion and it found a TON of ati files still hanging around.

Hopefully it will work now and I can sit back and enjoy new ep! Cheesy

Edit: " Some files could not be removed and require PREMIUM VERSION" now I gotta look all of them up manually -.-

I have spend 3 days on solving this..... Tried driver fusion, driver sweeper and a lot of more options. The only thing that really removes the ATI drivers is : AMD Unninstall utility.

Try that and let me know if worked for you.

awesome! Thanks alot easerius! Did it work for you?

Amd uninstal utility took away some but driver fusion still finds alot of Registry keys! Should I delete them manually?

Everything is Find now and Mod can lock thread if want.
