What do you guys think about future development of overall market cap? After the decline we had an upward correction, but it seems that the ATH of overall cap has been reached and will not be hit again in the near future? Could this be a start of a long lasting bearmarket as in 2013? It happend the same way that time in the past with Bitcoin. What speaks againt it that we have seen the top and we are entering more a bear market now?

https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/ That is the chart I am talking about.

Thanks

There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

I agree, i believe there will be a bear market, BUT not the same as in 2013.

I don't think there is a chance, that things will decline and then wait years for another burst. NO F# WAY!!

This has became such mainstream right now, the maximum bear market will last is 1-2 months now. And the reason for bear market to start is the split on the august of 1st! Until then prices are likely to decline and possibly make a good entry point. The future will be uncertain and for that reason people will rather have their positions in USD and at that point, it will be the cheapest.

In 2013 it was because of MTGOX. It's not the same at all now.

the overall marketcap will only grow. it doesn't even matter if the prices fall and if all the altcoins you see stop being above $100 and all be worth $0.00001.
the market cap will still grow!
because simply there will be a lot more altcoins created every day and each of them contribute to the total market cap (even if the contribution is small) with their fake max supply.

it doesn't have to do anything with bear or bull or cockroach markets Wink

I agree with you tons of new altcoin was entred to the markets. Tons of new ICO every day. But even the overall marketcap is fake and the real marketcap is lower, there is also money entry which rises the prise of old altcoins. Especially big ones.

I agree. A lot of thing have changed now, there might be very short bear market in 2017 or 2018, or maybe no bear market at all.

I think we will see $200b marketcap pretty soon.  Half of Crypto is premined, instamined, ico developers found, so all that capitalization dont exist. This trend will only continue. This will puff only when people, that now jumping in crypto with huge bags of money, will demand their returns.  And that will no happen that soon.
