Hi,

Im mining since about a month now, I was running with 5 card RX4XX and just received a R9 280X.

Installed that card and everything was perfect, the R9 was hashing at around 25 mh/s while i was dual mining (claymore 9.4) UBQ / DCR (DCR at 640 mh/s).

Now I tried the same setup with ETH and ETC instead of UBQ and the same card run at 12 Mh/s on etash and 330 Mh/s for DCR.  Huh

Anyone has explanation for this ? If there is no way to fix that, is there a way to mine UBQ pool with the R9 while the other card mine ETH or ETC with a different pool?

Thank you

I don't have an answer to your question.

You will probably get some response / answers if you post this in the correct forum thread Alt-Coin Mining, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=160.0. This is the BitCoin Mining thread.

ETH has a much larger DAG file, which hammers hashrate on the R9 280x (and other Tahiti-based GPUs).
