 hi, my 8x1070 rig already update bois to 0906 and set 4G ..gen2.. , but only detect 2 gpu ,
i switch the work gpu pcie cable to undetectable gpu ,they can detect.
i am not sure is there 6 gpu cable damage or my setting have problem only can detect 2 gpu Huh Huh Huh

I'm having the same issue

msi z170a sli motherboard
4gb ram
3 evga 1070 and 1 pny 1070 all on riser cards
windows 10 home

2 run fine the other 2 have a caution next to them in device manager with a code 43 error

running latest nvidia drivers.. and just built the rig

change pci to gen 1 in the bios and no joy Sad

no , i just use the dvd to install window

It doesn't matter how you have installed the windows, it could be also from USB but that's not the case!!!

Go to run and enter msinfo32, in the BIOS mode check if it is Legacy or UEFI, in order to work all GPUs as far as I know it should be UEFI, but in case it isn't I'm afraid of that you need to reinstall the windows, please check in youtube how to install in UEFI mode.

here in this threat there are some configuration settings - on page 7 here i wrote how to install windows in UEFI after you changed in BIOS to "UEFI only" (as you have to wipe the disk and convert to GPT first)

Dude you rock!!!!  That worked great!  Got 5 up and running.  Ran out of Sata ports on my psu so I can't plug the riser in and the last card. But that's ok, I'll use it on my next rig.
