Medical marijuana bill clears Illinois Senate committee

Seen it on the news just recently, 10-5. Who ever the 5 are that opposed, should get their head examined. If and when, Gov. Pat Quinn passes it, congrats to the people of Illinois.

SPRINGFIELD --- A key panel of Senate lawmakers advanced legislation Wednesday that would allow patients with certain illnesses to use marijuana to ease their symptoms.

Illinois is so deep in the red they're desperate for new sources of revenue. And Chicago's government is so corrupt I wouldn't be surprised is the mob was still involved somehow.
