hello

one of my clients sent me a $120 payment to address  19PfFbgDZVmDQ7DkFAQfcDG4QVfuiimAw9
tells me I gave him that address back on the 12th of June
I CAN confirm this in my own Skype history
but I can find no other reference to that address anywhere
I did a search of all my other contacts in Skype (not given it to anyone else)
I did a search of my websites database never given it in any tickets
yet "Aw9" looks familiar

I always go directly to my blockchain.info account hit request and copy the address given
but that is a dif address given there 1LqyBkiN8fAMgxX6b2EUHCx92a5SoFK89F

what in the world do I do now
how do I collect that $120 ?

Hi, would you mind telling more what you mean?

What wallet are you using? Blockchain.info? The request button does not allow you to retrieve Bitcoin from other addresses, the person has to send the Bitcoins directly to your address for you to receive it.

What is your address? 19PfFbgDZVmDQ7DkFAQfcDG4QVfuiimAw9 OR 1LqyBkiN8fAMgxX6b2EUHCx92a5SoFK89F?

- He might have sent to wrong address.
- The transaction is not confirmed yet.
- ***Might be a new address that was generated by Blockchain.

Go to your Blockchain wallet account and check your old addresses and see if both addresses are yours. I might have understood your question though. Tongue

EDIT: Looks like it just needed time to confirm the transactions, haha! Glad you got your coins. Smiley

Just a shot in the dark here but you said you usually copy and paste the address. There is a virus, or there are multiple viruses that will change the address you copy to your clipboard to theirs so you end up sending someone else your bitcoins.
Haha, thanks for the daily dose of humor.  Roll Eyes

blockchain.info web wallet is an HD wallet... like most HD wallets, after an address has been "used".. it will automatically generate a new address to help prevent address re-use. Do you have a record in your transaction history in blockchain.info of this "Aw9" address?

If you click on "Transactions" in the menu on the left... do you not see the "Aw9" address there?

That address received a payment and then sent the coins within the last day or so... if you didn't do this, then there is a chance you have the "clipboard malware" that scans your clipboard for bitcoin addresses and when you "paste" them, it automatically replaces with the hackers bitcoin address.

The address you have given currently has a balance of 0 BTC: https://blockchain.info/address/19PfFbgDZVmDQ7DkFAQfcDG4QVfuiimAw9

Can you provide TXIDs and BTC amounts?

Just a shot in the dark here but you said you usually copy and paste the address. There is a virus, or there are multiple viruses that will change the address you copy to your clipboard to theirs so you end up sending someone else your bitcoins. I've seen a few threads about it here on bitcointalk. It doesn't sound like this is what happened to you but if the money is really gone that could be what happened. A good rule of thumb is to triple check the first 5 characters and the last 5 characters or the bitcoin address you're sending to to be 100% sure you're sending to the right place and 100% sure you've posted the right address for someone else to send you money too.

Also I'd stop using blockchain.info because when you get hacked (not if) they'll just blame you. Don't be a victim like I was. Start using cold storage or at least a wallet where you hold your own private keys like electrum or bitcoin core.
