I thought of this the other day. Maybe high school cryptography or programming classes could be contacted or something. Kind of a "Look at this real world application of cryptography, oh by the way you might have noticed your national currency is going to collapse but this is secure" sort of thing. Where do smart teens hang out on the web?

Earning bitcoins by selling your services/goods.

Selling art and other materials on ubitio.us is easy assuming you find 3 downloader for each of your investment.

If you're a programmer, there's a few bounty laying around unclaimed. Otherwise, try fishing for people who want your programming service.

You need a certain understanding of how the world works, before you understand why something like bitcoin has advantages.
To (most) 16 year olds money is simply a means to buy stuff

Generally it was a lack of interest or a simple "Oh, that's cool." Save for the one autistic script kiddy who decided it would be an excellent idea to get bitcoin running on every computer in a lab. As far as I know, he's banned from the computers for the rest of the year. He probably didn't fully understand the concept anyways.

Give them a gateway that allows subscribing to porn sites using bitcoins, then they discover the true value of bitcoins... it's more than money, it's a great way to keep prying eyes away from your business, or at the very least heavily increase the barrier.

See, that's where I think the beauty of bitcoins lay... we don't have to play cop for anyone, it's the individual choice thing, I believe they call "freedom" or some other abstract meaningless word

disclaimer: I am a parent, I have an undisclosed number of teenage children, I understand your worries. I go around that by actually being there for my kids and talking openly to them... a crazy idea, I know!

Immanuel, YOU are here.    And that's what matters.   It's really cool that you are here.   How did YOU first hear about Bitcoin?

Maybe it would be more interesting to do a presentation to ADULTS...   They might be so impressed that this concept is being presented to them by a teen, that they might take an interest in trying it.

One selling point might be:   A new way to energize the local economy.    Local shops and merchants begin accepting Bitcoin, and keeping the money in the local community (mostly).

Even write up a News Story --- just as if YOU were a newspaper reporter, exactly as it would appear in a newspaper --- all about "Local Teenager Introducing Futuristic Money to Boost Local Economy".   Write the story.   Make it sound real newsy.   Then put the words, "PRESS RELEASE" on the top....  and "CONTACT DETAILS:" at the bottom along with your own email address and phone number.   Send it to every newspaper and local TV and radio station.   I'll bet money that one of them WILL run the story!
