I have 4x1070 8GB OC:
miner: Clymore 9.6
Windows 10 64

Current hashrate for each card is 25Mh/s and very stable.
I want to know is there any way to increase hashpower without overclocking?

I am afraid there isn't. I have overclocked my Gigabyte GTX 1070 to plus 1000 memory and plus 250 core clock, it is a stable to almost 31 mhash. It can be done through the MSI afterburner. If you are afraid of shortening your graphic card life, don't be, Nvidia is well known for running overclocked for a lot of time without problems. When you reach 6+ mhash with overclock for 4 cards that you have is like having a 5th card mining for you so it is really worth it.

you can lower watts used

load msi afternurner 4.3

set tdp to 80%

leave core at  0
leave ram/mem at 0
set fan to 70% manual

hash should stay the same  but power usage will drop.

You should be able to overclock the memory still, and maybe even bump up the core clock if your card has good cooling.  At 80% it will throttle the core possibly to keep power down ac necessary.  I run my 1070 at 65% with +50 core and +230 memory in afterburner.  Much of the time the core throttles down to 1810, but it is there just in case.  The 1070s run at 55c and only use about 105 watts.  I have played with power settings so much.  I ended up having to tweak that low to conserve wattage draw.

Shortening lifespan is myth. Even if this is true you wont notice this (I assume, that you will sell GPUs when mining wont be profitable)

Maybe you are asking becasue you have read about timings editing on AMD cards, there is no such thing for nvidia, or at least I am not aware of it.

Anyway you can overclock safely without losing your warrantly or deal with problems. Just use the slided in MSI afterburned and enjoy extra mhash

I am running rigs with 4 of them with 850W psu without any problem.
Reudce the power limit when you overlock and you are just fine

No way.  At the most you would probably pull 650W at the wall ...unless you are running other peripherals I am unaware of.

I highly suggest getting a kill-a-watt meter from Amazon or newegg or wherever.  You can find them around $20 and well worth it.  I have one on each mining rig to monitor my power consumption.

ps. a little while ago I called evga about their power supplies, and asked Jose from EVGA how much can I pull constantly from the supply safely.  He suggested 80% of max rating.  Going my that theory, you could safely pull 800W constant without worry.

For ETH mining, you want to OC the memory and can probably reduce the core clock a bit AND reduce TDP some.

Increasing core clock on ETH doesn't give much if better results.


 Also, WHICH GTX 1070 model do you have? The "base" TDP is only 150 watts on the 1070, though a few aftermarket cards get as high as 230.

You need to make some tests here.
I'm running 2x1070 with:
- TDP: 65%
- GPU: -200MHz
- MEM: +750MHz
Getting around 31-32MH/s from each of them (reported by the pool).

Afaik, for ETH only the MEM OC counts, I have seen 1070 cards downclocked to -400 on the GPU without any negative effect to the hashrate.

try minus 250 core clock and put down the TDP limit - you will get the same mhash with lower power consumption
