Hi all,

I've been reading a lot recently on the forum and just wanted to make my first post to say hello. Was interested in investing in BTC some time ago but of course didn't have the funds at the time. Missed the boat slightly on making a good investment but at least I'm in now and can start contributing to the 'project'.

Any more Irish about the forum?

Éire, thank god that names not used anymore. I only recall it ever being used on television by the BBC / ITV during Italia 90 games!

Yes, I would guess there are quite a few of us "thick micks" from both sides of the pond that frequent these forums.  If you are in the US or have a US-based bank acct, try coinbase.com.  It will take you about a week or so to get verified. If you plan to use SMS for two-factor verification, make sure the phone you use is 100% clean. There has been a rash of BTC thefts from several exchanges lately and they all seem to involve use of SMS for 2FA.

Cheers lads, good to see that there seems to be a decent amount of interest in Ireland.

Cheers lads, good to see that there seems to be a decent amount of interest in Ireland.

Of course there is, we're all sick of the bankers, and the euro as well.

You can sing that!

I intend on never ever having to go to a bank for any sort of loan again. I cleared all my debts with them. I have a growing stack of physical silver, BTC and LTC which I will use to buy a house in a few years.

I'm as confident as I have ever been about anything that silver is a great investment, BTC however is still a risk, but a risk I'm willing to take.
