The world should definitely be alarmed but despite NK's craziness its unlikely in my opinion to lead to war. The problem is that due to the crazy, once they can threaten any country in the world we will have no choice but to either give them anything they want or get destroyed with them.

Some better solution needs to be found than just waiting for them to get more sophisticated technology.

North Korea is a country that we all should be cautious of. It is a country that is ruled by a leader that is both unpredictable and very confident in showing its might. Its command and blatant application of its nuclear and weapons arsenal is a threat that we just cant ignore. Aside from the fact that we know little of it it should really be a great warning to all of us that it is a volatile country.

I believe that North Korea has the right to defend its borders. The Americans must first pull back their forces from the Sea of Japan. The Yanks are causing a lot of provocations in that region.

North Korea and South Korea should unify in one Korea. It's same people. South Korea have smart people, great economy. North Korea also have really really smart people. They will be great power if they unite. Only problem that north have dynasty. Unfortunately Yong Un will rule until someone remove them from outside. It is easier now than it will be in 2-3 years. People don't understand what a nuclear weapon. To build a rocket that is not enough. You need to have a guidance system, storage of nuclear warheads. Rocket fuel is also of great importance. North Korea is a backward country so I doubt that it can pose a significant danger.

They have already developed nuclear weapons and multiple nuclear tests have been conducted successfully. They even claims to have manufactured Hydrogen bombs. North Korea is an extremely right-wing, strict authoritarian regime, who basically keep to themselves as much as possible which in today's day-and-age is considered "weird" or "wrong". However, throughout history I can almost guarantee you this was very common ages ago before people became super Liberal in just this past century or so. People who keep to themselves are better than the ones who get themselves involved or stick their nose in other people's business where they do not belong.

Therefore, while we may not agree or completely assimilate with their culture, we must respect that they are a global force to be reckoned with, especially militarily and this idea that they are incapable of threatening the US must seriously go away - because they could do some serious damage if they wanted to.

We do not know what North Korea is planning, but by strengthening the military it means they are ready to war. With great military power plus nuclear weapons that they have, many countries that are alarmed. Moreover, the country around them who will always be alarmed of missile tests. North Korea, China and Russia are very close, this certainly is very profitable North Korea. Because they are equally communist. As was the case with the 1950-1953 Korean war in which China sent its army to assist the desperate North Korean army. I do not know who will start WW III, but I'm sure North Korea will take a big part in this war. The world must be more alarmed.

No. It can also mean that they are trying to defend themselves against any future American military invasion. The Americans have invaded more than 70 third world nations ever since the end of WW2, and I won't be surprised if the DPRK is next in their shopping list.
