The AMD Radeon RX 480 and Radeon RX 580 video cards are pretty good but hard to find as they are sold out most places.

The Nvidia 1070 doesn't look to be one of the better options right now.

Here is a graph I found on performance of different cards:


As you can see, the 1070 has pretty good performance per watt.

AMD Radeon RX 480 is okay for altcoin mining and it's not generating too much temperature.

I am mining with RX 570, I am having around 24mh/s for each, I think its proper I bought them 300 dolars each, I am getting 146-148 hash rate and I am happy with them. Its best GPU for this price for mining. I recommend it.
