For those into gambling have you ever tried to took some medicine just to control your impulsive gambling?

Just like the others, I have never ever tried taking a medicine just to prevent myself from being greedy when playing. To be honest, this is the first time that I have heard that such medicine for impulsive gambling exist. Playing gambling is really fun and exciting but it can also make people greedy in playing again and again. It is not just in gambling, because there are also other things that we get addicted and we all know the feeling of holding yourself to do it or to have it. The feeling is the same of being addicted to gambling which is very hard as well as avoiding and preventing yourself to play whenever you want to.

I don’t think that we need a medicine to control ourselves in playing. If such medicine does exist, I believe that it would just convince other people to try gambling and don’t be afraid of getting addicted to it because there is a prevention.

I haven't before, because I never knew that there was a medicine for this. Is there such thing? And I think I don't need one
because I think I can easily stop gambling whenever I want. Just make sure to limit your self when gambling so the possibility
of losing a lot of money is less.

Maybe some psychiatrists give their patients medicine for compulsive gamblers. I personally think it's not good to take medicine for mental and psychiatric issues by looking people that did it, the medicines make the patients more retarded after some time.

There should be another kinds of treatments to help addicted gamblers instead of giving them medicine.

You'll need a lot of will, determination and motivation to control impulsive gambling. Or you will need to see a psychiatrist/therapist to seek help so that you can receive the proper prescribed medication. Better to ask a professional in this area.

I think you have a big loss in gambling that's why you are feeling bad from gambling. If you choose cigarette, then you lose your health and if you play gambling then only you lose money. I think better to save your health than money. Otherwise the always better don't do both of them. It is total save-sound way, for your health and also for your financial matters.   

Many people lit a cigarette when they are in any work tension or any other tension. This is common, but it will not help you to stop gambling when you are fully addicted to gambling. And you have a chance to addict to smoking also this too bad to compare gambling. If you lost money, you could earn back anytime, but if you lose your health, then it will never come back it will spoil your life. I will not suggest this cigarette to stop gambling.

I totally agree with you, it's better to stay in good health and be impoverished than have all and not healthy enough to enjoy. Never try control impulsive gambling with addictive substances like wee or cigarettes because they will render you unhealthy in the long run.

I think there are few of them trying that way but medicine sometimes makes you more uncomfortable that's why some are making cigarettes while playing, some are getting some massage from others while playing that's how their way to control impulsive gambling. I'm not prefer to take medicine ever.

No, there are a lot of medicines are available in the market for controlling your gambling addictions but not sure about their effectiveness but they are marketing like it is intended for addicted gamblers. But we should never go for any medicines without proper prescription from physicians.

I agree yoga and meditation are very good for curing any addictions. But usually gamblers will not find time to go for these. But if they thoughtfully accepting going for meditation then definitely they can overcome from impulsive gambling.

when you come to a professional in gambling problem solver you might would get some treatment and also several medicine to boost your treatment. it's indeed there's no specific medicine exist/mentioned to completely have a big effect directly to your gambling addiction, i don't know what chemical composition there if exist    .

Well I guess when someone can't stop the addiction then medication with a professional doctor is recommended, but we don't it's effects for sure. Same for hypertension, there are some medications there and some has side effects especially in the long term medication. In my opinion gambling rehabilitation is the best way to stop it or to control yourself or distance yourself from gambling addiction.

I think relying on medicines or drugs to control your impulsive gambling is not a good thing. I think it will affect you not just mentally but also physically, also you will not know what other things might happen to you if you continue doing these things. It is better to consult a well educated person about these topic.

This is very extreme but sometimes extreme times call for extreme measures.

I don't think a doctor will prescribe you a medicine to take in. I guess they are going to suggest something that you haven't done before. They will advise you to do something like activities or other things that can help you to forget that you are an impulsive gambler.

I agree. I can't imagine what medicine would be appropriate to cure from impulsive gambling. Most likely turning your attention to another interesting activity is the best medicine indeed.

There's no need for a medicine or anything related to medical solutions when a person is doing impulsive gambling. Putting your time into some other important things will be the most applicable way of curing this type of behavior.

Really even I am not aware if there is such medicines that is available and if yes do they really have any power to stop the impulsive gambling. Because its the nature that drives you into gambling and then you become additive due to lack of self control. So its difficult for any medicine to control this type of behavior.

I can't think of anything that could suppress your inner urges towards gambling. Maybe you could try sex improvement medicines that you could divert your focus into just having sex instead of gambling. I think that could work knowing that you would be doing the deed but if you have someone to do it with, then it's another problem for you.
