Hey All! I recently did a group buy on MSI Mining P106 Cards, and sold the max I could with our distributor. I've been given another opportunity to purchase through Disti (Synnex) again, this time for ASUS Mining P106 Cards. There will be a total of 250 cards purchasable by my business, and seeing as how i got all we could spare to power at our datacenter, these are 100% up for grabs unlike my last order! More details on the card can be found from ASUS's Website: https://www.asus.com/Graphics-Cards/MINING-P106-6G/They will be $300 per card. This includes ground shipping to anywhere in the US. Shipping over-sea's will come at an additional cost! I'm required to Wire the money upon placing the order, so i figured i'd offer the community the chance to buy before you can't! Cards come with 90 day warranty direct from the manufacturer. There's a 4 week build time + ship time to me, so earliest arrivals of the cards are looking at middle of August. I'm accepting BTC @ Market Rates only ($300 dollars per card, and will be converted to USD as quickly as possible and withdrawn (we have a 50k per week limit with CoinBase)). I'll be also hosting a group buy for PNY's version of the card as soon as its released (I'm being told 10-15 days from now). -W

Those that bought the Nvidia mining cards would have been better off buying a regular 1060 with a 3 year warranty. I suspect these Asus mining cards won't be any different, except you can't get a RX 470/570 and RX 570/580 in any quantity ATM. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9deSVpjm1Kk

Not true, the Sapphire cards are out we've got about 40 of them running at the moment in our datacenter.
And I'm sure if 1060's were available, people would buy them. The irony is that they're not, and that video is a horrible vid, it lacks any actual comparison of power differences (of which there are) and there's actually a bit of a bump in performance on these cards for the price.
The only advantage to the 1060's is the resell-ability (which there likely wont be for long).

The Sapphire cards may be out, but where can you buy them at MSRP? There is no shortage of 1060's compared to the shortage of RX 4XX/5XX https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100007709%20601205646%208000&IsNodeId=1&bop=And&order=PRICE&page=1What that video shows is the mining 1060's are in fact just a repackaged basic 1060 with a 90 day warranty manufactured at a huge gain in margins in attempt to cash-in off miners dumb enough to support such a blatant money grab by OEM's.

Where 6GB makes the most difference is in dual mining. The Dag also won't reach 3GB until a year from now.

P106 models are 6GB, and use the chipset from 1060, it is better for mining. The tdp is prety ok, about 100W

If you honestly think you'll be reselling the card if the market takes a turn, you're mistaken... It wont happen... It will be just like 2014, when ASIC's started to flood the market and the cards tanked to literally 1/10th its value.

That is reality, i mean if gaming gpu's are going for $100 or less then imagine where these specific mining cards will be sold for, they cant even play crysis hehe, plus 3 month warranty, this you can't resell!!

$300 for a shitty 1060 with 3 month warranty? Sounds like an exceptionally shitty deal.

lol there is no "chipset" on a graphics cards. Maybe you're referring to a motherboard? The GPU's are the exact same, the only difference being the 6 GB has a few more GDDR5 modules soldered on. That being said, it's clear there's some sort of price discrimination (in addition to inflated prices) if ASUS is shelling them out for $300 a pop. They know their market segment consists of financially secure, middle-aged men, who had not the slightest idea on what these "graphics cards" were up until yesterday. They know y'all will suck them up faster than a plate of crab legs at your daughters high school graduation party. The fact of the matter is, production of GPUs probably hasn't increased that much because they know investing in fixed, long-term production equipment for an outdated manufacturing process would depend almost entirely on the unstable cryptocurrency market. What's even more funny, is that these so-called "mining" cards are really just half assed graphics cards that will have 0 warrenty, and limited appeal to gamers when they're put up on the secondary market. Meaning -- less pricing competition for them in the future.
