Classification according to SHA256/scrypt is not a good way of classification of cryptocurrency.

The major difference is whether it is energy intensive.

Code:
                                                                 / SHA256 pure proof-of-work
/ Energy intensive cryptocurrency - Proof-of-work cryptocurrency
                                                                 \ scrypt pure proof-of-work

                                                                 / SHA256 hybrid proof-of-stake
\ Energy efficient cryptocurrency - Proof-of-stake cryptocurrency
                                                                 \ scrypt hybrid proof-of-stake

BTW ppcoin uses SHA256 proof-of-work.

Signed up, tried log in, fail!  Apparently password is incorrect  Huh Huh

Working on a crypto over here that's not a fork of BitCoin, LiteCoin or any other coin for that matter and so would be nice to get on a dedicated "altcoin" forum.

How did you sign up?  With FB or TW or just regular?

Just regular, got the confirm mail etc but "computer says no"

I thought PPC uses BOTH pof and pow?

Novacoin NVC
Litecoin based scrypt cryptocoin with proof of stake.

NVC is not litecoin-based and has no connection with it. It's based on bitcoin 0.7 sources tree.

Someone should start a poll, to name an official alt coin forum. I'd join the one that wins

Don't know Jimmy i'm not really sold on all the ads, and the smaller format?

wow Jim you transformed it - its looking really kinda hot now -

but as i said before " like electrons where does the information pool for resistance "

you need a spot for that - otherwise you are making people , click in and click out - and the flow gets disjointed - but maybe it will work ?

certainly looks the part ! < as said before i like that your Ads are from Crypto as well - nice -

Jimmy has done great with the "ads" I dont like calling them ads since they are just banners he made to promote this withtin the site. Like my bitgem giveaway Smiley

He is really great at making them. I like the megacoin banner a lot
