Where can I find an easy to understand guide to securing your BTCs

Hello, I'm new the community but have been following bitcoins for a while since i read about them 3 years ago. I am going to buy some soon and was wondering if anyone could send me to a good, solid guide that is easy to understand for securing your bitcoins. all the ones I've read so far are complicated and other things. I'm not looking for paper wallets or anything, just a way to back up my wallet in a a strongly encrypted form on multiple disks or something of the sort. thanks a bunch !
