Zcash has a trusted setup that could create an unlimited amount of undetectable zcash coins. This kills zcash from ever amounting to anything grandious FULL STOP. This will never be accepted.

Zcoin is the best option due to auditable supply and similar anonymity. The trade off is visible tx amounts, but thats not nearly as bad as an invisible dictator. Also hurts investor confidence for Zcash having this weakness.

In my opinion it depends on the use case. Do you need the most anonymous altcoin or just one of the available anonymous altcoins. The most securest is probably Zcoin. If you want a more widespread anonymous coin you should go with Monero, ZCash, Komodo, Dash or Cloak. The last one has become one of my most favourite private and anonymous coins. But as I said, it highly depends on your use case you need the coin for.

Well monero has been undisputedly been known to be the best anonymous altcoin todate but with third party services offering tumbling services for alts like ethereum it could challenge for that top spot considering it has the biggest market share among alts which gives it an advantage.
