It's all stupid. First of all, I want to say that people do not appreciate life. As they say, you need to lose something, to start to appreciate it. So the best thing you need to think about and take care of yourself is health and freedom.

I think it depends on how do you see life or what is your perspective in life. Some will say "yes it is beautiful" and some will say "no, it sucks". It also depends on the experience of a particular person. If the person experience problems and difficulties of his/her entire life, he/she definitely will say that life is not beautiful.
