Typical market correction. Nothing to panic about, just HODL

I agree with you this is correction I don't think it will turn to crash

Actually by definition this is a crash.

By definition a "bear market" is a decline of 20% from the peak, so we are in a "bear market" right now.

Actually by definition this is a crash.

It's definitely starting to look like one.

Or we could just term it "a very strong correction"

The market was skyrocketing across the board for months. Once in a while there would be red for like a day or two. And everyone would proclaim "just a correction that was needed in this crazy bull market".

As we can see now, those one or two day corrections were not enough to account for the continuous hundreds and thousands of % increase that happened over a long period of time. What we are seeing now is the true correction. And perhaps some of the real shitcoins with no tangible future will drop off completely. Begin accumulation.

I believe all of these have a good chance at surviving this. They all have very active teams and communities behind them, features that can be more important than unique/novel qualities. Obviously having all is the best case scenario.  Wink

Reason for current correction? I've been away for a few days and was barely able to read up on the market when suddenly I see pretty much all coins in red? Why is that? I've already bought some extra coins here and there but I simply don't know why it dropped the way it did.

As you can see, most currencies are discounted, they are red on all exchanges, if you are a trader it is a good opportunity to invest and make a profit. The importance is the power of that money.

If you didn't periodically cash out to fiat (like the whales do), then it will take a longer time to get back into the market.  If you have high values on your sell orders, like I do, you may have to lower them without taking a loss, or a little loss on some coins to free up the bitcoin.   What is a high value on a sell order will only be seen in time.

BTC forktards are creating a global uncertainty situation on the cryptocurrency ecosystem as a whole. Once the market understand there will be no fork, I think even Ethereum which I don't like and I think it's going to crash hard long term, will pump again, everything will be green once they understand king bitcoin is not forking.

Does crypto follow the same guidelines for bull/bear markets? This definitely isn't a crash but I believe down ~20% would signal bear. Then again, things are so volatile I don't know if these terms apply.

Just a psychological problems, some people geting into panic after 5% down

In any Market it is enough to move 0.1% of Capitalisation and the robots as well small investors getting into panic...

For $100Billion Market of Cryptocurrencies 0.1% is only $100 Million means selling or buying for 50 000 BTC results panic...

Invest into $XVG $PND $PAC $LDOGE created by people changing the world and unchaining money for freedom and privacy

Do not support Premined ANTI-coins like $XRP $XLM $ADA $TRX $IOTA killing FREEDOM of money

Yes. Its a mental problem seeing a 5% price dip and panic and sell. For me this is just a price correction that will go for 2-3 days and then it will bounce. We can also grab some coins right now because its all going red. I guess that you just need to look at which coin can recover from this price crash.

The market isn't simply going to crash and remain like that, there surely are many investors around, and their interest is to make profit by selling high and accumulating when low, it will go up again and so on  Smiley

No specific reason about the current price dip. We are in bearish market that's why you can see all reds on your portfolio.

You can consider it as another chance to buy at cheap price or stay out completely from that coin you hold. Price correction is kinda not the reason here as it must be only happened to a certain coin and not on the majority of all coins listed on exchanges.

I already took profits so i dont care. but i guess the big losers will be the people that bought in late or people that are too greedy and never took profits.
anyway for those people who didnt sell.... goodluck holding for another 1-3 years, i will be buying in at the bottom.
