I have received many rebates. since I started my ebay business in 2003

I have a system to be sure I get my rebates.  9 of 10  come the other 1 of ten you have to pester them.

Have a real camera not a phone camera a canon about a hundred bucks.

I have a folder rebates

In the folder  2 files
paid up rebates
rebates not paid.

in the file are 5 mega pixel photos of every rebate I ever put in for.
the invoice
the box
the serial number
the rebate form
the stamped envelope I mailed to get it.

it works .

in fact  I sold an evga 1000 watt psu to a member here.  it died 2 years into the 5 year warranty.
I went to the rebate folder grabbed all info. emailed it to him and they fully replaced his psu with a sealed factory retail box.

digital record are cheap to keep.

I have done well over 100 rebates in the past decade or so. I have had 2 never show up and 3 that were denied due due to being ineligible because of items (different models on the same rebate offer) already submitted. The last 3 were most likely my fault for not understanding the fine print properly. So with a failure rate of less then 2% we always do rebates around here.  I grew up too poor to pass on extra money, even if it's sometimes a nuisance to deal with.

submit

I usually get them ....it can take time.. I'm waiting for 180 bucks in rebates, i should start getting them this month from as far back as March this year they didn't offer Me the fast way like it says for a fee, so it takes at least 8 weeks or more to get them, Ive been watching they should starting coming some time this month ..all the rebates i turned were approved ..

IN past buys only two times I didn't get the rebate that i can remember one was the rebate company was a ripe off and one time on a mother board I  turned in the wrong stuff or Submitted it wrong but was told to  resubmitted it and got it .

There may have been one or two more i didn't get by my mistake other wise i get them ....

I try to but I learned the hard way that sometimes it isn't worth it.  I buy stuff on newegg all the time because I can pay in BTC.  I used to send off for rebates immediately, usually there is a small window to do it and I was always all about meeting those deadlines.  But one time I sent off the rebate and then built the machine a day or so later and a component was defective.  Newegg won't replace it if you sent off the UPC from the box.  Otherwise newegg is awesome about returns and replacements, but if you redeemed the rebate you have to go to the manufacturer and some of them take their sweet ass time with warranty replacement.  Which meant I was without a crucial component long enough that I bought a different one to get my machine up and running.  So instead of getting a good deal on the part with the rebate, I ended up having to buy a second one from a different manufacturer to get the machine up and running.

So now I build first, make sure everything works for a couple days, then do rebates.  I have missed a couple rebate deadlines because of this but it really sucks to have everything you need for a machine minus one piece and wind up getting delayed for a couple weeks with warranty rigamarole.  If it's broke, straight back to newegg.  Once I am satisified everything works, then I will do rebates that haven't missed the deadline.

I had two $30 dollar rebates for MSI MOBO's, I submitted the form online in time, but my letters with the proof-of-purchase from box were post marked a few days past the 21 day limit and they denied them.  Sad

Do you use different addresses, lets say: home address and business address...just wondering if they could catch on to that.
