I notice many people asking for donations in their sigs.

Have you ever received any? How much on average? What was the most?

With most people hoarding BTC, I'd be amazed if there were many donations at all but still curious.

I've gotten (and given) a few tips before. I don't make a big deal of asking for them---I just figure if someone wants to send me money for whatever reason, I may as well make it easy for them.

The beauty of Bitcoin is you can check for yourself here http://blockexplorer.com/ if you know their donations address.

My personality type: INTJ - please forgive my weaknesses (Not naturally in tune with others feelings; may be insensitive at times, tend to respond to conflict with logic and reason, tend to believe I'm always right)

And with Bitcoin Tool you can go to the corresponding blockexplorer page with one click.

I never have, no.  On first thought, that might seem kinda strange, since I've dispensed lots and lots of very useful advice in various threads.  Then again, I'm an arrogant prick, and I think people can tell, so maybe it isn't so strange after all.

I routinely ignore posters with paid advertising in their sigs.  You should too.

I've never received. I have given two. I feel as I general rule of thumb, anytime I'm giving a "+1" sort of comment, that I should give them a small tip.

I have not gotten any donations to myself.  There was a .01btc donation to my btcdish (like a penny dish at cash register). I have put a few bitcents in it, and instawallet admin accidentaly put 6btc into it, some random person took it, and has not returned it to my knowledge.

I have made a few bitcoins off my referral links.  I have them all listed on one page, too many to list in my sig.  Most profitable are bitcoinbonus, and sldoubler.

I got .01 BTC the other day.

I look at it as just a slightly more concrete way of saying '+1', or, as a way to say "look, I'm willing to pay you to stop talking" Depending on what they say in the message informing you of what they've done.

(Mine was: +.01 Wink )
