I used to mine a while back and have two 2GB sapphire r9 270x, now I'm back and scrypt is all ASIC.... X11 is ASIC.... ETH can't be mined with 2GB cards.... most of the new ALTS I see being created are now ICOs on ETH and not mineable currencies... is there a list of coins still mineable with GPU?

Hi,

I would like to say that you GPU is quiet old already but it can still mine but expect to give very low mhs which would generate you very very small potential amount earning on mining alts however theres a calculator that i would give regarding on those coins that can be mine by GPU but i dont know which one would suits on your card to have the maximum profitability. https://www.coinwarz.com/calculators

Profitably, you can mine Zcash, new coins that aren't taken over by ASICS and probably some of the older coins not based on Scrypt, X11 as well as muti-algo coins.

I would also suggest downloading the NiceHash miner and running the benchmark. That will give your cards hash rate for different algorithms and then use a profitability calculator to find out which are the best coins to mine.

try to mine the clone of ethereum they use the same algo, you have some choice, like musicoin or ethereum classic, with classic i'm afraid you can not diff too high but with musiccoin you can use 2gb card

Zcash seems to be a viable choice until I upgrade my hardware, thanks

which miner software do you use? So many forks of ccminer, which one is the most efficient?

My GTX 1080s switch between Lbry, Lyra2Rev2, Equihash (Zcash), and X11Gost on the regular -- they do quite well on all of those.

Also my GTX 1070s and 1060s switch between ETH and Zcash quite often.

My AMD RX cards stick to Dual Eth/Decred.

My older AMD cards stick to Equihash (Zcash) -- so I'd go that route for your cards.
