I found a site  https://bitinfocharts.com/top-100-richest-bitcoin-addresses.html
I wonder how it is possible to create such a list of addresses on which are BTC?
I know all the information is saved on the blockchain and you can probably get this information somehow. But I also wonder how it is updated ? . every once in a while
someone of these addresses pay out all big amount and then new addressees is still on the list in webpage
Can any of you know how to create such a website?

Unlike traditional banking where clients have only a few account numbers, with Bitcoin people can create an unlimited number of accounts (addresses). This can be used to easily track payments, and it improves anonymity.

Google blockchain parser, its on github. It will even sort it for you. You will need a lot of RAM for it to run and it will take around 12hrs on good pc

if you need more, e.g. 100 - just do "richest 100" instead.

There's tons of publically accessible Bitcoin APIs online for free that offer data for addresses, blocks, transactions and much more.

Just do a little bit of Google searching and you'll come across heaps. Choose the one that suits your needs.

Why would this info be of any value?

Most experienced Bitcoiners, will never keep all their coins in one address, because it increase the risk and it is also impractical. Those addresses with the large amounts of coins are most probably exchanges that are storing their customers coins in cold storage or even gambling sites that are doing the same.

Why do you want this information?

To do that, you will need everyone to use only one address for all their coins and nobody is doing that. Why would I put all my coins in one big bag and advertise to the world that I am filthy rich? It would be stupid, because you would be painting a target on your back for hackers and thieves to hunt you down.

Let's say somewhere in the future, some steroid induced super computer, finds a way to encrypt private keys, which addresses would you think, will they be going for? Developers will strengthen the encryption if this happens, but by that time all the big addresses with the mother load will have been targeted. ^grrrrrrr^

this will going something fun, isn't it, when multiple open addresses are subjected to hackers, and how the users themselves use their 1 wallet address to save multiple coins trying to protect their own assets.

That information proves nothing. A lot of other people may be richer than them, by keeping a lot of addresses with different amounts of bitcoin which in total can be more than the 100 addresses listed there. What you are trying to see it is impossible. People who have bitcoins care much more about their privacy than rich people who keep their money in different bank accounts.

I read some answers that they would just like to see how many bitcoins are their in a wallet and they are just interested. But if you have malicious intent, the scenario you laid out could also be possible. They can go down in the list and see if they can "break" private keys. So for me, the list doesn't have a purpose.

I wonder if one of these addresses might belong to a guy who has totally forgotten that he bought/mined bitcoins back in 2009/2010.

Well that's possible, We read countless news about some random guy who bought bitcoins at a low price then totally forgot about it. Then suddenly remembers he has stash someone only to find out that he already thrown his pc laptop. I believed that some of them are really lost bitcoin in oblivion.

Some people do. Exchanges, for example store lots of coins in single wallets. However, you are right that generally speaking this is a bad idea!

Have you tried blockchainsql.io ?   It gives you a simple online SQL interface to query the blockchain.
