With sooooo many coins in the market and it being a more popular but just another ALT, in some cases, what do you think the long term will be? I believe most are geared towards the long-term profit of dogecoin but with such a long/high/maybe not possible, hill to climb in all aspects I found, which isn't much, what is the likelihood that dogecoin will be around and then will it ever make it profitable as an investor without daily trading?

The speed could actually become a strong draw for Dogecoin eventually. But if that happened, Dogecoin would surely clog up as well... and eventually become slow. This coin really needs active development if it wants to stay around, which would be nice since it's been here for ages.

For instance, if a coin is worth fractions of Litecoins, then you're probably better off listing it on the Doge coin market. It's just perfect currency for really low valued coins.

Basics of the all the currencies in circulation since ever and how community agree the value by use even when no authority control it. DogeCoin is created to confirm the existence of cryptocurrency as a very important/easier tool to manage our lives with simple codes. It is a good learning tool even before learning about bitcoin.

The coin it self created only to make fun in crypto but evenually it has a value and untill today no one develop and update the wallet like litecoin did. It will be death crypto. If you are a collector maybe you can buy small ammount. But dont make it investment.

Right now it is my favorite coin to transfer my funds between exchanges due to it's low fees and high speed transactions. So it really has huge advantage compared to more expencive fellow coins.

This is a good idea because everyone can verify this on the chart of dogecoin in the long run, it is continuously decreasing deeply and increasing very strongly. Although dogecoin has no practical application, it has a very strong support community and it is a condition for its development over time.

So strange to see so many people call Dogecoin as a shitcoin. All you could manage to see doge coin being used anywhere was gambling? Though I don’t consider doge coin as some very potential or profit promising asset but still the idea of it being used for gambling irritated me. I feel Dogecoin is an altcoin with no potential. Although it was very early in the Crypto market, it still could not grow as well as ETH and Bitcoin. That is a disappointment in it.
In addition, I have yet to see its business plans in 2018. It seems to have stopped working. I think Dogecoin will go bankrupt soon if there is no development plan in the future.

Dogecoin will always exist as there is still a strong fan base for this coin. For me, DOGE is nothing more than a pump and dump coin. A couple of times in a year the coin gets pumped without real reason.

for this coin dogecoin does have a cheap price when compared to the other coins, but to benefit from this coin I think it takes quite a long time, because if I see this dogecoin price movement is very slow, if to trade in my opinion is not appropriate , but for us to make a long-term investment there may be less chance we will benefit from it.

Doge is not a long term play for me. It is only for the short term. Pick it during bag market conditions and sell it when people start trolling/hyping Doge on Twitter.

More merchants accept doge than most other shitcoins.  That's because the network is never congested and fees are always low.  You can send pretty much any amount for 1 doge, and that's hella cheap.  Plus the community is a relatively strong and positive one, which is more than you can say for a lot of the shitcoins.  I don't think doge is necessarily a bad coin but I would agree that it's not a great investment.  There are tons of other coins that will outperform doge in the long OR short term.  But as far as a good crypto for commerce...doge ain't that bad.

Yeah i agree, In that it will always exist owing to its uniqueness as one the first few cryptos/ fanbase and memeablity. From a practical point of view though it has no value and is just a pump and dump coin. If you check the github its long been abandoned, and there is no development.

However another pioint of view is that it can be seen a good benchmark when analyzing if the crypto market is overvalued or not.  In hindsight during the december run dodge went to  a 2 billion marketcap. This should have been the biggest sell signal for an overheated market

There was no update from the developer because the developer of the doge coin has stated to retire from developing the doge coin. This coin has no future the only possible thing to make this coin will be alive again through the offchain development of the dogecoin itself. Remember the developer is not seriously creating this coin for a purpose.
