Honestly don't see LTC appreciating very long after the August 1 deadline. Likely scenario is fud will die once everything comes together smoothly, and LTC's role as apocalypse currency diminishes significantly. Expect at least a sustained price until Aug 1 followed by a crash.

Litecoin will stay much much faster than Bitcoin with New stuff coming soon. There is no crash to come.

It might reach $50 in the short term, but my gut feeling is that it is heading lower.

Most of litecoin investors and Chinese investors are mentioning about $100, but I never think that litecoin could hit that price. The current price is an excellent exit price for me. Litecoin is such a trashy one without development.

Yeah. I think 100$ is too much, I'm thinking around the ballpark of 50$-70$ dollars at least. Right now I see that the price is around 43$ so I doubt it can peak at 100$. Let's just wait what will be the effect of the Aug 1 event. LTC has been in the market for the longest time as far as I can remember, Charlie going back? I dunno what will be the effect. I hope he joining will push the price to at least 70$ before crashing again.

Do you think that segwit activation in Bitocin will affect Litecoin in negative way?
If Bitcoin has Segwit, why would anyone use Litecoin; the coin which the best advantage is segwit
Ltc is a Btc copy after all

that is what many expect but the market may react differently: 1. btc survives, quickly moves over 3000$, towards 5000$ 2. FOMO buyers will turn to cheaper cryptos, LTC (and others) will be snapped up by people who are not willing to pay $5000 for a bitcoin ---> I firmly believe LTC will see $100 sooner or later

LTC is undervalued in terms of BTC https://www.coingecko.com/en/price_charts/litecoin/btc look at maximum price since bull market 3 years ago. however with a different playing field today ETH, ico, siacoin, monero, dash, zcash money may flow to those tokens, so hard to see it back to historical high

Litecoin held on to alot of its value while other coins took a big hit recently. Started losing value towards the end though. If Bitcoin stabalises before 1st August then I think all coins will get a nice pump as well, but we haven't seen a mass migration of Bitcoin $$ into Litecoin as a refuge.

What on earth is it still around for. We have Bitcoin that's use is widely spread and that i personaly use. Then there is pointless LTC.

As bitcoin grows, litecoin will lose its value this time.

Litecoin is going to $100 by next year on the next major crypto rally. It is a good long-term buy and hold coin alongwith Bitcoin, Ethereum etc.
